As you can see, I have 2 of these wraps. The orange one I had before, the blue one is the newer one.

Let’s talk about the functionality and flexibility of the wrap. It’s very handy to protect your car, chair, carpet, wherever you are from your sweat after we workout. And when we run and workout, sometimes we sweat a lot. The absorbent feature is impressive, removing sweat easily and keeping it away from us and away from the car seat at the same time (or chair, carpet, etc.).

You can easily drape the wrap over your car seat. Make sure that you have it where you want it, sometimes it might slip/slide down a tiny bit on your back unless you have enough of it around the top of your car seat. We must unzip the top/hood of the wrap in order to drape it effectively over the car seat.

Some of have told me that they do something like this with 2 towels (one for the top of the car seat or back and the other for the seat itself where we sit). But the beauty of this wrap is that you don’t need to get 2 towels/wraps dirty or sweaty~only one. Unless you have a passenger who sweats too. Then you need one Orange Mud wrap for each of you.

There is a very handy zipper which can be zipped/unzipped if you desire to use the wrap like a hooded towel (sort of like a heat sheet or blanket after a race). The zipper is easy to use and gives it a nice added feature. This would be helpful to keep rain/precipitation away after a race and to help dry off our sweaty tops after running/workouts.

One feature that I hadn’t used much with my previous towel/wrap that I purchased was the wrap/change feature. It took a little practice to figure out how to clip the waistband but it’s pretty easy, you just pick which notch you want and it clips and holds, allowing you to change clothes easily and discreetly if needed.

The towel wrap does provide a little warmth after we run/exercise and a comfortable cooling-off area. I should tell you that our dog was very happy with the softness and comfort of the wrap, Misty kept trying to use it herself. It seemed to give me a little bit of pain relief from foot pain right after running. And it allowed me to watch football games while recovering from runs, protecting our carpet from my sweat.

One wrap I tend to keep on the drying rack in our basement, it dries quickly and easily in the sun. I’ve also tried drying the newer blue one on a hanger. It’s easy to wash, just throw it in the washer with detergent of your choice.

The wrap has been very handy, traveling with me to Des Moines for the Des Moines Marathon recently, helping me have some space to organize my gear before the race and to recover after the race. Yes I sat upon this wrap driving home after the full marathon. That was probably the toughest test this wrap got during the testing period. And my car didn’t smell like sweat or have retained sweat on the driver’s seat. Before I forget, the wraps come in a ziploc bag you can use to bring the wrap with you when you travel. I did use that when I travelled to Iowa for the race. I saved mine for the blue wrap. It’s easy to roll up or just fold into a square/rectangle if you prefer that.

The length of the wrap is impressive: 60″ and that’s very helpful. The width is 30″. It seems to be the perfect size. And it’s easy to maneuver into seat wrap and changing positions quickly. I usually drape my car seat before I run. Then the wrap is waiting for me.

As someone who runs every day, the wrap got a lot of use during the testing. Lots of sweat. But none of it in my car or our furniture/carpet anymore. And it performed well at all times, exceeding my expectations.

If you forget to bring your workout towel to dry off, just use the wrap. Why not? It’s softer than many other towels anyway.

Please note: There is a softer, more comfortable side and an inside that we mainly use when we change. When you use the wrap to change, you must have the softer side showing the belt notches on the outside or you won’t be able to secure it very well. There’s a clip behind the Orange Mud logo corner that you use to secure the belt. For all other purposes, I use the softer, more comfortable side. Yes, the belt does hold once you secure it, just make sure you allow enough space to move when you use it to change. If it’s too loose or too tight, just switch it to another notch.

The blue version of the wrap tends to look purple at times with a flash camera. But officially I think it’s royal blue. Two of my favorite colors. I was very excited to learn that blue was available (my favorite).

One interesting feature is that the texture of the wrap actually will show footprints if you step upon it for a while. Didn’t realize that until today. So visually it’s amazing too.

This is one of the most amazing and favorite pieces of indispensable running gear that I have. I don’t know how I lived without these before I got my own.

Do I recommend you try it? Yes, but I’ll tell you now. One might not be enough. For regular running and workouts, you might actually want two. Then you can make sure you always have one clean and ready to deploy immediately.
