Yesterday, on Saturday, January 16, 2015, I was running with my dog Misty when we encountered a lady in a wheelchair needing assistance. Watch my Periscope video below to hear the full story. Her wheelchair tires had rocked or fallen off the sidewalk and were stuck in mud so she could not get back up onto the sidewalk. She also had dropped her phone under her wheelchair and couldn’t reach or retrieve it. If I had been wearing headphones, I would not have heard her calling me for help. I was barely able to hear her from a distance wearing double hats for cold winter running. It was about 14 degrees at the time: very cold. She could have been stuck there a long time. I’m glad I happened to be running by her when she needed my help. Random acts of kindness make the world go ’round! Who can we help today and how?
