Happy National (international?) Running Day! Some of you may be asking “what is that?” Well, it’s a (recently designated) national running holiday (that means you run on the holiday as long as you are not injured) to celebrate the joys of running, to make your run fun. Just running as far as you can. See http://nationalrunningday.org.
So today I ran a leisurely looping 4.05 mi on day 198 of my runstreak. Two days to 200, another milestone.
How will you celebrate National Running Day? Will you run alone, with others (family or friends), run doubles? Show me or tell me about your run today! Feel free to comment, send me a message, a running photo, or tweet about it! On Twitter, we are using #NationalRunningDay and #RunningDay hashtags to chat about it.
Happily running on, Running Groove Shark
Wow. 198 days. That is awesome! I’m on like a 3 day run streak….lol. I just run 1 mile today to get it in. Life threw a curveball at us at 3:45 this morning in the form of a flooded kitchen floor so the 1 mile is all I had energy for. 🙂 But then there’s always tomorrow!
Thanks! Runstreaks are hard to stop sometimes. Sorry to hear about your flood. I hate it when water goes where it doesn’t belong! Or kale smoothies spilling on lighter-colored carpet where they don’t belong! (yes, this just happened!)
