Charlie Brown loves SPRING!

Charlie Brown loves SPRING!

Happy Spring y’all! Spring has Sprung! It sure feels good to have winter behind us, doesn’t it? This will be brief because we are in the middle of March Madness!

Lots of running and walking here. Interestingly enough, my new vivofit arrived yesterday just minutes before March Madness basketball started! vivofit is the Garmin equivalent of Fitbit (my wife wears Fitbit Flex and loves it). I’ll tell you more about it in a future post. For now, I’ve challenged my wife to an ongoing daily “step challenge”.

Fighting the urge to be sedentary this week. Sitting all the time watching basketball doesn’t help matters. At least now I’m measuring all my walking without having to “Google” the distance. Suffice it to say, my vivofit tells me if I’m sitting too much/not moving enough. I’ll explain more about it later.

Just cleared the halfway mark on my 485-mile promise to the Boston Marathon World Run. (244 mi+). Also still run-streaking. Day 123 today.

Gotta run! But first, here’s a poignant cartoon to summarize the Creighton Bluejays and Nebraska Cornhuskers playing back-to-back today on the San Antonio Spurs court (what a dream!). As a Creighton alum, I’m obviously cheering for Creighton. Although I picked Baylor to beat Nebraska, I MIGHT cheer for Nebraska anyway. If Creighton and Nebraska win, they will play each other in the next round. Here’s what the state of Nebraska is feeling about all this. 😀
