100 Day run streak complete! I did it! Starting with November 19, 2013 and run-streaking to today, with a 3.13 mile treadmill run along the virtual banks of the Hudson on the New Jersey side, this 100 day run-streak is history! I really wasn’t sure I could do this. I knew 60 days was possible. But 90? 100? There was a lot of uncertainty and self-doubt. But with a lot of support from family and friends (including some who are run-streaking), along with sheer determination, perseverance, and yes, even curiosity, I was able to stretch the Runners World Holidays run streak to almost Mardi Gras.

But with my curiosity piqued to this extent, now I’m finding momentum makes it hard to stop. There is a certain inertia-like effect once you run-streak this long. Like when my legs are still wanting to move well after a run. A body in motion remains in motion and does not want to stop that motion! (What’s that commotion?)

So I’m streaking on to at least 365 days if possible. That means November. (my swollen heel groans! My reply: it’s O.K., feet, we are rotating fresh running shoes now). Countless things could stop me but I won’t give up easily. Certain days will mean 1 mile runs (Mondays or busy days or tired days). If I only make it to 180 days or 364 days, that’s fine. At least I’ll know that I tried. Streak On!!!
